2. Description of Service

BookItUp is a personal book library management service that allows users to:

• Track and organize their book collections
• Scan book barcodes to add books to their library
• Set reading goals and track progress
• Rate and review books
• Create and manage book collections
• Export library data (premium feature)

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
• Maintain the security of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

4. Subscription and Payment

BookItUp offers both free and premium subscription plans:

• Free Plan: Basic book tracking features
• Premium Plan: Advanced features including library export, enhanced search, and priority support
• Trial Period: New users receive a 7-day free trial of premium features

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually. You may cancel at any time, and cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create (reviews, ratings, notes). By using the Service, you grant us a license to use, store, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.

You are responsible for your content and must not upload content that:

• Violates any laws or regulations
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains harmful, offensive, or inappropriate material
• Contains personal information of others without consent

Premium users can export their library data in standard formats (CSV, JSON). Upon account deletion, we will provide your data in a portable format upon request.

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BookItUp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings.
